Successful 2017 Project!
Thank you so much for your support of our 2017 Bless the Kids Back Pack Project! In our 14th year we have helped nearly 3,000 children by providing them with a new back pack stuffed with supplies, toiletries, toothcare kit and a huggable toy. Without YOU it simply would not be possible! Right now we have started shopping the sales for our 2018 project. Thanks to our amazing donors, your prayers, love and support, we are expecting another awesome year!
Launching our Bless the Kids Project on July 16th
We are gearing up for our BTK back pack outreach for 2017. Planning to set up the week of July 16th. Projecting up to 400 children that will need help this year, but so far we haven't been able to secure a place to set up our project. We need 500 to 800 square feet really soon! Keep us in your prayers and if you know any benevolent property owners we would love to talk with them!
Shopping Sales - Accepting Donations
There are treasures in the clearance section of office supply stores! Recently, we found filler paper, composition books, sharpeners and glue kits for only 25 cents each. While that is an awesome savings, the lots are always small (3 to 25 items of each). Truth is we are going to need about 400 or more of every item! So, if you are out shopping and see a terrific bargain, keep us in mind. We accept donations all year long for our kids. Haven't got the time or funds? Then send us a contact form letting us know where you saw the bargain - working together we can bless a lot of children by stuffing their back packs with school supplies! What do you do when it is not back to school season?
That is a question we hear frequently! Truth be told, it is back to school season for us all year long. During the fall and winter months we shop sales for school supplies and collect huggable stuffed animals and small toiletries for the children. (If you have those items let us know! We accept donations all year long.) In the Spring, while the kids are still in school and looking forward to summer vacation, we are receiving our first back pack order and have already started to shop for erasers, pens, pencils, paper, glue and more!
